Katie's Community Garden
Katie's Community Garden is a collaboration between FARMily, The Bridge Church, The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, and The Katie Grace Foundation.
Named after Katie Weingartner, a bright, local young girl who was tragically struck and killed while crossing a street in Reno in 2017. This garden honors her as well as other youth in our community. Katie's Community Garden is an educational site where community members can learn social and emotional skills through regenerative agriculture.
The garden is FARMily's largest site, utilizing over an acre of growing space. Beyond being an educational site, Katie's Community Garden is a production garden where organic, healthy food is grown and distributed in our community!
We have a food forest, production gardens, as well as a native plant and pollinator area.
We host a variety of family-friendly and educational fundraising events at Katie's Community Garden throughout the Summer and Fall. Sign up for our newsletter for details and tickets!
The garden is located behind the Bridge Church at 1340 Foster Drive Reno, NV 89509
