Current projects and activities...

Our bi-weekly seminars offer a diverse curriculum for the children of the local Boys and Girls Club.  They are typically geared around the things we experience in the natural cycles of our seasons, and what's happening in the garden. We are able to maintain our gardens year-round, due to our ability to utilize enclosed raised garden beds, a greenhouse, and seedling starters with the help of grow-lights.

As we grow, so do our goals...

Our engaged Garden Committee meets monthly to discuss current projects and future plans, as well as strategies to progress food systems and overall regional gardening programs.

Some continual and short term goals include:
  • Assistance with community produce distribution via Farmer’s Markets and the allowance of youth garden workers to take home produce.
  • Social media: Both the Boys & Girls Club and Farmily have active social media pages (8,000+ followers) that can share garden updates beyond our immediate neighborhood and spread the good word with proper upkeep.
